MV Switchgear

Our team thrives in the challenges that arise with medium voltage switchgear applications that require specific solutions whether it be physical space constraints for an existing facility or a unique bus configuration for close-coupled equipment to cite a couple examples.

LV Switchgear

Our team has experience with: 4 High Vertical Breaker sections, Main-Tie-Main dual ended redundant distributions with marshalling control panels, Auto transfer and manual re-transfer control systems, 4000A and 5000A continuous amperage distributions with controls and monitoring.

MV Motor Controllers

There are multiple MV motor starting solutions out there but the common ones are DOL, soft starter and variable frequency drive. At Solution Control Systems we build the DOL and supply and integrate the other solutions to complete systems.

Electrical Buildings

Our team can supply any type of electrical buildings or skids structures with platforms, stairs, doors, HVAC, cable gland plates, electrical gear or equipment fitted in and essential electrical integration including lights, exit signs, emergency lights packs, receptacles, transformers, panel boards, cable trays, groundings point etc.

Busbar Design and Forming

Our fab shop has industrial equipment to work with busbar which includes hydraulic punch, busbar bending machine and a large band saw. We should be able to work with any small busbar up to 8”X1/2” bus.

Retrofit and Upgrade

Retrofitting can save you significant cost as only required items are upgraded with minimum site disruption, no change of existing cables and gear is ready for service for next few years. Furthermore we can have your hard to replace old breakers reconditioned and recertified to avoid structure changes to fit the new breakers

Protection and Monitoring

Our team can provide customers with the option of selecting their relay protection manufacturer of choice and still obtaining senior expertise in the integration of any of the electrical protection required on any of the major manufacturer platforms.

Switchgear Manufacturer

Also, our retrofit solutions provides a quality, cost effective alternative to increase the life of your existing switchgear with very little or no disruption of supply while the work is being carried out.

Custom Switchgear

From standard versions to the most efficient custom solutions for the power sector – each low voltage or medium voltage switchgear is a complete answer to your diverse power-supply needs. They are flexible, offer simple maintenance and assembly and several safety features to provide top efficiency in all conditions.

Our range of switchgear products are custom-built in a modular design with fully welded construction designed to any configuration to suit site requirements, all equipment is manufactured and tested in-house and on site.
All aspects of the mechanical design are detailed in 2D and 3D CAD for better visualization of the project designs F-F-F (fit, form and functionality). Our mechanical team lays strong emphasis on DoE and DfM methodologies to ensure we provide reliable and cost-effective design solutions for your requirements.

The culmination of these methodologies and our manufacturing experience provide our customers with a cost effective solution that meets all functional, regulatory and safety requirements with significantly shorter lead times than typically expected.

Medium Voltage Switchgear

Our team at SCS thrive in the challenges that arise with medium voltage switchgear applications that require specific solutions whether it be physical space constraints for an existing facility or a unique bus configuration for close-coupled equipment to cite a couple examples. Our technical personnel at SCS have extensive experience in integrating many different choices of MV breakers from common OEM suppliers as well as newer manufacturers that possess innovative features that provide value to the end user such as reduced lifecycle maintenance costs.

Our team remain committed to ensuring that all details are reviewed with the end user in each Medium Voltage Switchgear application and that each product follows our commitment to an unsurpassable standard of quality and timely streamlined delivery.

Arc Flash Switchgear

The advent of light detection systems in microprocessor based relays combined with new breaker technologies that can provide combined clearing times that are less than 2 cycles; provides an opportunity for drastically reduced arc flash incident energy values while still employing the use of metal clad switchgear that is not arc rated. This ultimately provides an end user with the benefit of reduced cost while mitigating potential arc flash hazards as much as possible.

SCS Arc Flash Switchgear solutions are fully type tested with incident light and injection current to serve as documentation of the expected clearing time for future detailed arc flash labels and the corresponding incident energy calculations.

Power Distribution Center

The technical team at SCS have considerable experience in offering a multitude of low voltage power distribution center options that are sure to meet any specific request. Previous inquiries / projects have had some of the following attributes:

  • 4 High Vertical Breaker sections
  • Main-Tie-Main dual ended redundant distributions with marshalling panel and control sections for each of the MTM
  • Auto transfer and manual re-transfer control systems for systems requiring high availability (critical loads or continuous process)
  • 4000A and 5000A continuous amperage distributions with forced air cooling controls and monitoring.
  • The brief list of custom applications mentioned above is just a few of the many unique solutions SCS has assisted customers in the past. Our team of technical switchgear specialists are keen to finding a unique solution to any power distribution center challenge.

Relay Protection Control

The experience of the technical personnel at SCS provided customers with the option of selecting their relay protection manufacturer of choice and still obtaining senior expertise in the integration of any of the electrical protection required on any of the major manufacturer platforms. This allows the end user to truly obtain the product they desire as well as the functionality sought in regard to the features offered by these protection platforms.

Furthermore, SCS is committed in providing factory acceptance testing as detailed as the customer wishes. An example of such detailed testing that could be provided is all switching scenarios possible in an auto-transfer and manual re-transfer main-tie-main scheme with microprocessor based relays and the necessary i/o to achieve such logic.
